These Terms of Service govern your use of PDF to Dark Mode. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms.
Service Description
PDF to Dark Mode provides a browser-based PDF dark mode reader and converter. The tool can preview PDF pages in dark mode and generate a downloadable dark PDF copy on your device.
Local Processing
The tool is designed to process PDFs locally in your browser. We do not provide a server-side PDF conversion service in the first version.
Browser-based PDF processing depends on your device, browser, available memory, PDF size, and PDF complexity. Very large or complex files may be slow or may fail to process.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- The files you open in the tool.
- Ensuring that you have the right to convert or modify those files.
- Reviewing converted output before relying on it.
- Keeping your own backup of the original PDF.
Unsupported Files and Limitations
The first version does not support password-protected PDFs. The exported dark PDF is optimized for visual consistency and may not preserve selectable text, links, forms, annotations, metadata, or vector structure from the original file.
Scanned PDFs are handled as page images. OCR is not included.
Permitted Use
You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the site.
Intellectual Property
You retain rights to your own documents. The site's design, code, branding, and content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws unless otherwise stated.
No Warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that conversion will work for every PDF, every browser, or every device, or that the output will be suitable for every use case.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on converted files.
Third-Party Links
The service may include links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
